Success in the Year-Round Vegetable Garden: How to Grow More, Work Less, and Reduce Your Environmental Impact. Six-week course.

A productive vegetable garden can provide delicious produce year-round, without being a full-time job! Learn how to get the most vegetables by applying science-based gardening methods that minimize environmental impacts. Classes cover working with different soil types; providing the right amount of water, fertilizer, and sun; taking care of seeds and seedlings; managing pests, diseases and weeds; and advice on growing specific vegetables and on container gardening.

  • This course is taught by UC Master Gardener Candace Simpson.
  • The class is held from 7 to 9 p.m. on six Mondays: February 5 to March 19 (no class February 19).
  • It is offered through the Palo Alto Adult School.

Cost is $96; registration is required
