Vegetable gardens can be extremely bountiful or disappointing, depending on the gardener’s attention to a few basic needs. We will discuss how some advance planning (and a little effort now!) can maximize your chance of successful summer harvests of tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, beans, squash and more in summer.
Topics will include:
- Sunlight requirements
- Well-prepared soil and correct fertilization
- Good water management
- Vegetables well-adapted to our local climate and your garden
- Protection from pests, including vertebrate pests, insects, and diseases.
