Maintenance- Design- Planting Tips

Best used as a background plant, Verbena bonariensis does best in hot, dry locations with good air circulation and well-draining soil.

This is a fast-growing plant, which if happy in the garden, will spread by seed. It has a small clump of green leaves that produce tall flowering stems in the hot summer months. The overall look is light and airy. Tall stems should be cut down when flowers have faded.

PADG Notes: This plant is no longer in the garden because it needed some supplemental water to keep it thriving.
