Design use: Groundcover. Good around stone paths, in shady areas under trees and large shrubs. No mowing needed.

Woodland Strawberry is a dark-green evergreen plant. It has white flowers in winter and spring and produces a red strawberry fruit. A California native, it is drought tolerant and spreads by both underground and above ground runners. New plants along the runners can be dug up and replanted elsewhere in spring. It is low maintenance, snip runners that spread undesirably, compost in the spring.
