Spring Garden Fair

Saturday, April 27, 2024
9:00 am–2:00 pm

Join us for our Spring Garden Fair, our sustainable gardening showcase, premier plant sale, and educational fair. It will be held at our parcel in Martial Cottle Park in San Jose. Sales benefit the UC Master Gardener program.

Important, please note: The park opens at 8 am. Cars are not allowed to line up before the park gates open. Please be respectful of the surrounding neighborhoods as well.

A note about the rough terrain

We are very excited about our parcel at Martial Cottle Park and the great strides we have made developing it (see this video overview). However, many areas are still very rough or covered with coarse mulch. It's important that everyone wear sturdy shoes for walking on these uneven, possibly muddy surfaces. Strollers, wheelchairs, and rolling walkers may have difficulty navigating the mulched sales area.

Plant Offerings

Choose from our huge variety of tomato, pepper, herbflower and native plant seedlings, and succulents that we raise right here in the Santa Clara Valley. We grow varieties not readily available elsewhere, selected for outstanding taste, beauty, and performance in our soil and climate.

Please bring a box, cart, or wagon for an easier shopping experience. No dogs except service dogs in the sales area.

Cash, checks, and credit/debit cards are all accepted.

Gardening Talks and Information Tables

Join us for talks by UC Master Gardeners or get your gardening questions answered by UC Master Gardeners at our Information Tables.

  • Bring plant samples to our Help Desk table for diagnosis.
  • Bring your hand pruner (must be in working condition) to our tool care booth and learn to sharpen it yourself.
  • Learn about waterwise plants, animal pest control, and much more.
